Tbilisi (GBC) - In September, banks received 91 million GEL of income from the purchase and sale of currency, more than received in other months of 2021 (except for June-July, which was the most abundant 92 and with a profit of 98 million GEL).
If we add the profit of 12 million received from the revaluation of foreign exchange funds**, it is Gel 100 million.
In total, in 9 months, the sector has earned 606 million GEL (source: NBG)
** "Net gain/loss from revaluation of foreign exchange funds" is calculated as the revaluation of foreign currency assets due to the change in the exchange rate of GEL in the current month, minus the revaluation of foreign currency liabilities.
