Tbilisi (GBC) - Poti Seaport recorded record cargo throughput and vessel arrivals in 1Q26. According to data released by APM Terminals Poti, the port handled the highest number of containers in recent years in the first three months of the current year.

Specifically, 153,462 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units) were handled in 1Q26, exceeding the figures for the same periods in 2025 (146,468 TEU) and 2024 (126,512 TEU).

According to the company, this year has seen the highest number of containers handled and container ships received. Since the beginning of the year, the Port of Poti has hosted 94 container ships.
