Tbilisi (GBC) - According to preliminary estimates from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GeoStat), real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 8.6 per cent in June 2026 compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. At the same time, the average growth rate for the first six months was recorded at 7.9 per cent.

GeoStat reported that significant positive contributions to growth in June 2026, compared to the same period last year, were made by sectors including manufacturing, transportation and storage, construction, information and communication, and financial and insurance activities.

Conversely, a declining trend was observed in the mining and quarrying and energy sectors.
