Tbilisi (GBC) - Black Sea Arena is launching a wide-scale campaign in Georgia branded as Starring Georgia. Main goal of the campaign is to promote the country and to boost its tourism, economic and cultural potential.

Within the scope of the new campaign, concerts will be held in Shekvetili, Tbilisi and other locations, apart from the Black Sea Arena.

As Levan Davitashvili points out, this is a very good initiative and we had successful examples of such an initiative in the past - he mentions the project implemented within the framework of Check in Georgia. According to the minister, the concerts of famous artists planned this year will attract not only local tourists, but also visitors from the entire region and even from more distant countries.

"We communicated with the population about this in terms of the impact on tourism and the economy, and we think that this year alone, according to conservative estimates, the effect will be about 100 million on the economy, along with the raising the awareness of the country, because many new visitors can come to Georgia to see these stars, and in general. This will be a very positive dynamic for the development of tourism in Georgia", said Levan Davitashvili.

In addition, according to the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, it is desirable to regularly run such campaigns, within the framework high-quality performers will regularly come to Georgia. "The idea of Starring Georgia is that next year we will have even more popular artists," the minister noted.
