Tbilisi (GBC) - An agreement of visa-free travel with China for Georgian citizens was officially signed on Wednesday.

The Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the signature of the document between the Government of Georgia and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on mutual exemption from visa requirements for holders of ordinary passports.

Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and Chinese Ambassador to Georgia Zhou Qian inked the document.

The visa-free travel regime to Georgia for Chinese citizens was enforced on September 11, 2023.
